Cost - $75 incl. GST

A programme will be customised to meet your needs from the following topics:

  • Learn how to understand and use the Research Cycle
  • Use a computer database
  • Organize genealogy records – paper and digital
  • Use research logs
  • Analyse records
  • Break down brick walls
  • Share your information
  • Use geography and history to aid in research
  • Colour code your records
  • Get the most out of the internet

  • Overcoming brick walls
  • Organising the research
  • UK Census challenges
  • New Zealand resources
  • Fun and Family History
  • The Internet and Family History


Specific subjects – 2 hours per class

Venue– Your place or ours (Pukekohe)

Travel Expenses– of 50¢ per km if over 10kms from Pukekohe.

Cost- per seminar $200incl. GST


Courses – each five weeks long

  • Basic research cycle
  • Keeping records
  • Using the Internet
  • Computer databases
  • Writing your personal history
  • Compiling your family history


Participants will receive:

  • a folder
  • notes for each lesson
  • blank forms
  • practical assistance
  • a certificate to say they have completed the course


A minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20 per class.

Venue– Your place or ours

Travel Expenses– of 50¢ per km if over 10kms from Pukekohe.

One and a half hours each week- per person for the five week course.
